The Huntsville Salutes America's 250th Committee is proud to announce the launch of the official website for Huntsville’s yearlong celebration commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States in 2026.
The new website, america250huntsville.org, serves as the central hub for all things related to Huntsville’s America 250 efforts. Residents, businesses, nonprofits and community organizations can explore upcoming initiatives, learn how to get involved and help shape a historic milestone for the Rocket City.
“We want this to be a community-driven celebration,” said Sally Warden, Chair of the Huntsville Salutes America's 250th Committee. “By inviting organizations and individuals to submit events and express interest now, we’re building a collaborative effort that reflects the spirit and diversity of Huntsville.”
Whether it’s a neighborhood gathering, cultural program, educational initiative or large-scale festival, organizations are encouraged to showcase how they are celebrating America 250 in Huntsville. Submitted events will be considered for inclusion on a community-wide calendar, helping residents and visitors discover ways to participate throughout the year.
In addition to event submissions, the website provides an opportunity for those interested in the City’s signature July 4, 2026, celebration to get involved early. Businesses, food vendors, parade participants and volunteers can complete an interest form to receive updates and be considered as plans for the event take shape.
The July 4 celebration is expected to be a cornerstone of Huntsville’s America 250 programming, bringing the community together for a day of patriotic festivities, entertainment and civic pride.
Visitors to the website can also learn more about the Huntsville Salutes America's 250th Committee, explore the vision behind the initiative and stay informed as new details are announced.
As planning continues, the City encourages the public to check back regularly for updates on events, announcements and opportunities to participate.
