Mayor Tommy Battle honors the champions of America's 250 Celebration

Mayor Tommy Battle recognized his Huntsville Salutes America's 250th Committee and its partners, expressing his sincere appreciation for the extraordinary effort behind a year-long celebration of the nation's founding. Appointed by the Mayor, Chair Sally Warden and the dedicated committee members gave countless hours and pulled out all the stops to create a truly memorable celebration for the community.

The July 4 weekend festivities at Bing Spring Park featured music, food, a parade and fireworks, drawing more than 15,000 people to celebrate together. The Mayor also thanked WHNT-TV for providing live televised coverage and Meta for serving as lead sponsor– both valued public partners in helping make the celebration a success.
